I appreciate you writing this fascinating piece; so enjoyable. The rivalry of Wilde and Stoker reminds me of the rocky relationship of Hamilton and Burr.

If you haven't not read "Duel with the Devil: The True Story of How Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr Teamed Up to Take on America's First Sensational Murder Mystery," do. I've read it twice, myself. Utterly fascinating.

Both of these rivalries would make for wonderful theatrical films, though I doubt the audience is there for either film.
