You're not the first to express what are now seen as "forced" and "overdone" creative issues with screen and teleplays. It's also appearing very often in commercials. So, it's not you being pissy about it: it's real. That "checklist" in the studio think tanks and network writers' rooms isn't new; it's always been near the word processors.
Anyway, keep on publishing those "thought bubbles," and let 'em out!
